Town Council authorized a major grant application for infrastructure and gave first reading to a series of bylaws aimed at spurring new construction and attracting residents.
Council also heard from a resident concerned about the death of an unhoused individual and approved a review of traffic safety near Ponoka Elementary School.
Paul McLauchlin will lead Ponoka County as Reeve for the next year, with Mark Matejka as Deputy. Council also voted unanimously to keep their own pay rates unchanged and made dozens of committee appointments.
